Offset sketch geometry

Learn how to use the Offset tool to offset sketch geometry to a specified distance in an active sketch in Fusion.

Note: Before you can modify sketch geometry, you must use the Create Sketch tool create sketch icon and use the create tools to create new sketch geometry or right-click an existing sketch and select Edit Sketch to enter the Sketch contextual environment.
  1. On the Sketch contextual tab, select Modify > Offset offset icon.

  2. In the Canvas, select the sketch curve, a chain of connected sketch curves, or a sketch profile to offset.

  3. Specify the distance to offset or drag the distance manipulator handle in the canvas.

  4. (Optional) To offset on both sides of the selected geometry:

    1. Check Two Sides.
    2. (Optional) Check Link Offsets to link the offset parameter dimensions of the two sides so when you change one, the other updates to match.
  5. (Optional) Check Match Topology to limit the rage of the offset distance so the child offset curves match the topology of the parent curves.

Note: To select offset-constrained curves, Match Topology must be checked.
  6. Click OK.

The offset geometry, offset distance dimensions, and offset constraints display in the canvas.
