Running a graph processes every node in data-flow order and applies the results to the active Fusion document.
Graphs that use System, Design, or Manufacture nodes typically require an active Fusion document. Most such graphs act on an existing open document, so open the document you want the graph to work with before running. Some graphs open or create a document themselves as they run. Graphs that use only Base nodes can run without an open document.
Check the Diagnostics tab for orange Graph structure warning badges before running. An orange badge on a node means a required input port has no wire connected. The graph can't produce a valid result until all required inputs are wired.
Click Save and run the graph
on the toolbar, or press Ctrl+R (Windows) / Command+R (macOS).
(Optional) To dismiss the notification popup, click ×. You can dismiss it at any time.
Wait for the run to finish.
The graph runs to completion or until it encounters an error. There's no way to stop a run in progress.
After the run, the toolbar becomes active again. The canvas updates automatically: each node shows a diagnostic badge reflecting its outcome, and the Diagnostics tab in the Details panel is populated with the full list of results.
See Debugging graphs for how to trace errors back to their source.
Each node that modifies the Fusion document creates its own undo step, so a graph run typically produces multiple entries in the undo history. Click Undo
, or press Ctrl+Z (Windows) / Command+Z (macOS), to reverse them one step at a time.
System Modeler automatically saves the graph before running it. You don't need to save manually before running the graph.
