Use the Repeat node

The Repeat node passes its input through to its output without modification. Use it to simplify wire layout in a crowded graph, or to bridge a node that lacks a compatible output port into an If node's branch input.

Simplify wire layout

When many wires run back to the same source node, the graph can become visually cluttered.

  1. On the graph canvas, add a Repeat node from the Base package near the nodes that need the data.

  2. Connect the source node's output to the Repeat node's input.

  3. Replace the long wires running back to the source with shorter wires from the Repeat node's output.

The graph now carries the same data over shorter paths, with fewer crossing wires.

Bridge to an If node

Some nodes don't expose a data output port that connects to the True Value or False Value port of an If node. The Repeat node resolves this.

  1. Add a Repeat node before the If node in the branch where the incompatible node is.

  2. Connect the upstream flow port to the Repeat node's flow port.

  3. Connect the Repeat node's output port to the True Value or False Value port of the If node.

The If node can now evaluate the branch, even though the upstream node doesn't expose a compatible output.
