Before you import data into Info360 Asset, it is important to ensure that the data is quality assured and meets all the requirements; once imported there are limited opportunities to correct the data.
The reliability of results from risk models and rehabilitation decision trees is also dependent on the quality of data that is used.
Asset data refers to GIS layers that contain assets such as pipes or manholes.
You can import asset data via local GeoJSON files of up to 500 MB, via Shapefiles, or via an integration with ArcGIS Online.
If using Shapefiles, the local coordinate system will be re-projected to the WGS84 system by Info360 Asset.
The following fields are required for pipe layers:
If you have segmented pipes, a Segment ID is also required (see below).
Asset ID
Each pipe asset must have one unique Asset ID.
You must then use the same ID when importing any associated data (custom tables) so that it gets associated to the asset.
Upstream and Downstream Manhole IDs
Pipe layers must include the upstream and downstream manhole IDs.
Length
Make sure the units are correct for your pipe length.
Segmented pipes
Check if any of your pipes are divided into multiple segments. If they are, see Import Segmented Pipes for information on how to handle these. If they are not, do not map anything to the Segment ID when importing.
The Asset ID is the only required field for manhole layers.
Asset ID
For inspections to be associated correctly to the asset, the asset ID in the GIS layer needs to match the manhole number in the inspection database.
