Upload Inspections

CCTV inspections are uploaded as a two-part process, where inspection files are uploaded first, followed by their associated media files.

Info360 Asset refers to the uploaded inspection files to determine which media files are associated with the inspections and therefore also need to be uploaded. When media is missing, the expected media is listed in the Edit Media page. For information on how to upload your media files, see Upload Media to Inspections.

For inspections to be geocoded correctly and their data shown on the network map, you must upload your pipe and manhole asset GIS layers before uploading inspections. Inspections are geocoded based on the upstream manhole coordinates. Manhole IDs in the manhole layer must match the manhole reference in the inspection.

Upload an Inspection

Important: For MACP inspections, prior to uploading an inspection make sure you set the Default Import Coordinate System in Admin General Settings to the coordinate system that the MACP data was collected on. This is required so that the manhole coordinates can be converted correctly.
  1. Go to Activities and select the inspection type. Or, if this is the first inspection of a given type (PACP, MACP, MSCC, WSA), select Add Inspection Type.
  2. From the Inspection List tab, select New Upload.
  3. Select the Inspection Format.
  4. For PACP only, select how you want to generate the inspection IDs.

To get Info360 Asset to generate inspection IDs, select the first option: 'Upstream_MH, Direction, Date and Time'.

To use your own IDs, choose which custom field in your access database you want to use for the IDs.

  5. Drag and drop your .mdb or .xml file(s).
Info360 Asset starts the upload process as soon as the first file is added, but you can add additional files while the previous ones are being uploaded.
Note: Clicking Close will cancel the upload process.
  6. When all inspections have been uploaded, select Next.
