Output nodes are where you write out your mathematical or logical expression.
To create an output node
- In the Configuration tab, click + Output.
- Enter a name.
- Select the type of output and unit of measurement your expression will result in, if applicable.
- Write your expression using the
available functions and nodes. You can also use the following operators:
- +
- -
- *
- /
- ()
- ^ for exponentiation
- @ to display a list of nodes
- Click Validate to check the expression.
- Choose an Interval to define the cadence at which your output results are calculated and stored.
- Click Ok.
Output nodes and their time series data are also saved as virtual sensors and so can be used in other analytics, charts, etc. The name of the virtual sensor contains the analytic name and the output node name.
