Add trendlines based on time series data and extend these into the future.
Trendlines are calculated using a least squares linear regression.
To add a trendline:
- In your workspace, locate your historical chart and click on the three dots
Configure.
- Expand the source you want to add a trendline for.
- Click Show Source Adjustments.
- Switch on the Trendline toggle button.
- Choose the number of periods you want to show the trendline for.
For example, if the chart resolution is set to daily, setting the number of periods to 30 will add a trendline for the past 30 days.
- If you have forecast data available, you can also choose to extend the trendline into the future. Use the Trendline Forecast toggle button and choose the number of periods.
- Styling options for the trendline are added above and you can adjust these if you wish.
- Click Update to save the changes.
