Change the Y-Axis scale and label or add another Y-Axis for a different data source.
For example, you may want to adjust the y-axis scale to focus on the most meaningful data. Or, you may want to add another y-axis if you have a data source that has a different unit of measurement.
To customize the existing y-axis:
- In your workspace, locate your historical chart and click on the three dots
Configure.
- Expand the first listed data source.
- Click Show Source Adjustments.
- Scroll down to the Show Separate Y-Axis toggle and switch it on. Since this is the existing default y-axis, this will not actually create a separate y-axis.
- Edit the settings (label, min, max) and then click Update. The changes will be reflected on the existing y-axis.
To add another y-axis:
- In your workspace, locate your historical chart and click on the three dots
Configure.
- Expand the data source you want to create a separate y-axis for.
Note: This can't be the first data source, since that is associated to the existing default y-axis.
- Click Show Source Adjustments.
- Scroll down to the Show Separate Y-Axis toggle and switch it on.
- Edit the settings (label, position, min, max) and then click Update. A new y-axis will be added to the chart.
You can move any of the other data sources in your chart to this new y-axis. To do so:
- Expand the data source you want to move to the new y-axis.
- Click Show Source Adjustments.
- Scroll down to the Show Separate Y-Axis toggle and switch it on.
- In the Y-Axis drop-down, select the name of the new y-axis.
- Then click Update. The data source will now be plotted against the selected y-axis.
Note: The color given to the y-axis label is that of the last data source to be added to it.
