New Features in the 2023 release of Autodesk InfraWorks

Highlights

Civil Structures Geometry Clipping (2023.1) Revit Families as InfraWorks Content (2023.1) Check for Updates (2023)
Geometry Clipping Planes allow you to better visualize and design your civil structures models by clipping away content and displaying the cross section of your structure at a desired location. You can now use Revit Families as parametric content in InfraWorks in addition to Inventor Parts and Assemblies. Check for Updates allows you to make changes to parametric model source files (in Inventor or Revit), then apply those changes to the Parametric Model style in the Style Palette, as well as all instances of that style used in the model.
Command Search (2023) Parametric Content Creation Updates (2023) Update from Structural Bridge Design (2023)
You can now use a Command Search (press **Ctrl+F**)to search for commands in InfraWorks rather than **clicking** through the various toolbar menus. The Infrastructure Part Shape Utilities plugin for Inventor is no longer required in order to add Inventor parts and assemblies to the InfraWorks Style Palette. Manage changes to steel plate girder dimensions during the iterative design process by updating your InfraWorks model with design changes from Autodesk Structural Bridge Design.

Bridges and Tunnels
(2023.1) Added support for geometry control on custom piers and abutments.
(2023.1) Leveraging the IFC 4x3 Extension for Autodesk Civil 3D 2022, an InfraWorks bridge can be imported into Civil 3D and exported to an IFC 4x3 file.
(2023.1) Revit created files will now be saved to the user AppData directory instead of the ProgramData directory.
(2023.1) Editing and updating Inventor 3D parts in Infraworks no longer requires a manual screen refresh to view changes.
(2023) Added Model Upgrade for 2D, sliced components such as Decks, Girders and Tunnels to accommodate an update to the way Boolean slice dimensions are interpolated.
(2023) Added a file name path length check to the Publish Civil Structures command. If any intermediate file names generated through this command, including their paths, exceeds 245 characters, the civil structure will not export correctly and a message will be displayed in the Message Log.
Simulation
(2023.1) When running a simulation you no longer need to select the road again after starting the simulation.
(2023.1) When stopping a simulation you no longer need to select the road again to view the updated simulation list.
General
(2023.1) Bing map raster data sources now report copyright information in the data source description.
(2023) We no longer charge for the usage of InfraWorks Watershed Analysis and Optimization.
