To add or modify pipeline connectors

Sketch pipeline connectors in a model or proposal. Pipeline connectors can snap to the ends of pipelines.

To add pipeline connectors

  1. Click Create glyph Drainage glyph pipeline connector (Pipeline Connector).

  2. Click once on a pipeline connector style to select that style.

    Note:
    • If you want to use different pipeline connector styles than what are shown in the Select Draw Style catalog, you can create and edit pipeline connector styles using the Style Palette. See About editing styles for more information.
    • Once you have sketched a pipeline connector, you can modify its style. See To apply styles to individual features for more information.
  3. Double-click to place the connector.

  4. Use the gizmos on the connector to adjust it.

Sharing pipeline connectors with Autodesk Civil 3D

You can export pipelines and their connectors to IMX format. If you plan to import the IMX pipeline file into Autodesk Civil 3D, you can assign a network attribute to it in the Properties Palette. Then, when you import the pipelines, you can add them to an existing network of the same name in Autodesk Civil 3D.

Note: The basic sketch pipeline tool will create generic, style-based pipelines. In contrast, users of Drainage Design for InfraWorks can sketch some drainage features that use component object parts.
