The Auto Resolve window combines a number of different functions into a single window. You can selectively repath files and nodes and automatically copy files to a specified location.
You can open the Auto Resolve window from the Edit menu (Edit > Auto Resolve > ), the File Path Editor context-sensitive menu, or by selecting the Auto Resolve action button.

Base Path
- Sets the directory that Maya uses as the top directory when it begins to search for files.

Resolve
- Displays a list of registered node types. The auto resolve operation only applies to the selected node types.

Copy Files
- Enable this option if you want to copy the files in your selection to a new location.

Destination
- Sets the directory where you want to store the copied files.

Copy & Repath All Files
- Enable this option to copy all the files in your selection to the directory specified in the Destination field.

Copy & Repath Newly Resolved
- Enable this option to copy the newly resolved files in your selection to the directory specified in the Destination field.

Overwrite Existing Files
- Enable this option to replace existing files during a copy operation.

Auto Resolve
- Performs the auto resolve operation, and closes the Auto Resolve window.

Preview
- Opens the Actions Preview window, letting you preview the results of your auto resolve operation before it is performed.

Cancel
- Closes the Auto Resolve window without performing an auto resolve operation.
