Specify section planes to create cut views of the model.
- On the toolbar, click Section.
- To specify a section plane, in the Section Plane dialog box:
- Click a Plane button to select the XY, XZ, or YZ plane.
- Click Select, and then in the graphic window, select a planar face.
- Set position of the section plane:
- In the graphic window, use the arrow manipulator to move the section plane, or use dot manipulators to rotate the section plane.
- In the graphic window, select a manipulator, and then in the Section Plane dialog box, specify the distance or angle.
- To change orientation of the section view, click Flip.
- To define another section plane, click New Section Plane.
Then specify the section plane properties.
- To suppress a section plane, clear the check mark in front of a section plane name.
- To end the Section command:
- Click OK to confirm the current section view and exit the command. The section view is preserved in the graphic window but is not saved in the mockup file.
- Click Share to save the current section view in a shared view. The shared view is added to the Views folder.
- Click Cancel to exit the command without saving the section view.
