Mockup 360 is a collaboration and digital design tool. It enables engineers and project managers in manufacturing environments to work with suppliers and customers in a simple, cloud-based environment.
Digital mockup combines 3D data created by different authors in many 3D CAD formats. After all components are inserted and placed in a mockup file, the team can collaborate to resolve clashes, perform measurements, and exchange notes.
Collaboration in Mockup 360 is facilitated via a centralized mockup stored in the cloud which is simultaneously accessed by all the stakeholders in a given project. Each group or individual uploads their piece of the overall project, the pieces are then positioned correctly, and the investigations begin. Users can simultaneously, or individually, check how their design components fit against components of their peers, looking for areas of concern. When issues are noted, designers can change their components in the originating CAD systems, and then update the mockup with edited components.
