Import or export your color adjustment presets

You can export your Adjust Color presets to share with colleagues or simply to create a backup. Your list of color presets is saved as a text file, and can be imported on any machine running an equivalent version of Mudbox.

To export color presets

  1. In the Adjust Color window, select New/Edit from the Presets drop-down list.
  2. In the Edit Adjust Colors Presets window that appears, click Export.
  3. In the Export Color Presets file browser window that appears, browse to the location you want, enter a file name for the presets, and click Save.

    Your set of color presets is saved as a .txt file.

    Tip: Save your color preset .txt files to a network location where your colleagues have access. Any other artist with an equivalent version of Mudbox can import and use your color preset .txt files.

To import a previously exported set of color presets

  1. In the Adjust Color window, select New/Edit from the Presets drop-down list.
  2. In the Edit Adjust Color Presets window that appears, click Import.
  3. In the file browser that appears, browse to select a previously exported .txt file containing color presets.

    The imported color preset(s) are added to the list in the Edit Adjust Color Presets window, and will also appear in the Presets drop-down list in the Adjust Color window.
