Definition - Elastic Foundation Dialog

Use Definition - Elastic Foundation dialog to specify the elastic foundation coefficient Kz.

Access

Click Parameters of foundation elasticity on the Homogeneous or Orthotropic tab in the Thickness dialog.

Kz=	Enter there your value of the elastic foundation coefficient.
Uplift	The list is active, after you enter the Kz coefficient. Use it to specify the uplift of a surface element from the foundation for each direction. You can select one of the following options: None. Select it to specify no uplift. Uz -. Select it to specify uplift in the direction opposite to the axis direction, such as Uz-. Uz +. Select it to specify uplift in the direction compatible with the axis direction, such as Uz+.
Direction X	Click this button to open the Orthotropy Direction dialog. You can select the main orthotropy direction there.
Kx=, Ky=	Enter to these edit fields, values of tangent elasticity coefficients Kx and Ky defined with respect to the assumed principal orthotropic coordinate system.
