Create a Custom Unit

You cannot modify or delete default units, but you can create and manage your own ones.

To create a new Length, Force, or Mass unit

1. Click Options.
2. Click + to expand the Units and Formats section in the Options dialog.
3. Click Unit Edition.
4. Enter a new unit name in the relevant unit box.
5. Enter a coefficient value for this new value.
   Note: Depending on the type of unit created, the coefficient value is expressed in meters, Newtons, or kilograms.
6. Click Add to save the new unit.
7. Click OK.

To delete a custom unit

1. Click Options.
2. Click + to expand the Units and Formats section in the Options dialog.
3. Click Unit Edition.
4. Select the unit that you want to delete from the unit box.
5. Click Delete.
6. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog.
7. Click OK.
