Importing textures

Do you want to create a brush stroke that looks like you’ve painted over a surface with a texture, such as canvas, or like you’ve shaded over a piece of paper with a coin underneath it? You can import the texture you want to create this effect and add another dimension to your stroke.

Importing textures in SketchBook Pro Desktop

  1. With a brush selected, tap Brush Properties icon to open Brush Properties.
  2. In Brush Properties, tap the Advanced tab, scroll down to Nib and open it, scroll down to Texture, and add a check to activate it.
  3. Tap Import.
  4. Locate the texture, select it, and tap Open. The display in Brush Properties updates to show the texture.

Importing textures in SketchBook Pro Mobile

Important:

SketchBook Pro Mobile doesn't currently support the importing of a texture.

Importing textures in SketchBook Pro Windows 10

  1. In either the Brush Palette or Brush Library, double-tap the brush you want to modify to access Brush Properties.
  2. In Brush Properties, tap the Advanced tab, scroll down to the Texture section, and turn the option ON.
  3. Tap Import texture icon in SketchBook Pro Windows 10 Import.
  4. Locate the texture, select it, and tap Open. The display in Brush Properties updates to show the texture.
