Installing GFxIME

In order to use IME, you should have the base version of Scaleform installed. To enable IME, you need to install the IME package available from our download site here.

The package will be named similar to sf_4.6.xx_lib_ime_msvc11.exe. Once the installation is complete, you’ll be able to run an IME enabled Scaleform Player.

Running the IME enabled Scaleform Player

Once you have installed GFxIME, click on Start->All Programs->Scaleform->GFx SDK 4.5->Demo Examples-> IME Demo.

You should see the following:

Note that the input language on the language bar will be the default input language on your computer. Use the Scaleform Language bar or the Windows Language bar to switch to Chinese (PRC) input language and Chinese (Simplified) - QuanPin IME

Now type “nihao” in the first Multi Line textfield:

Push space:

Congratulations! You have typed your first Chinese characters using GFxIME!
