Getting Started with IME

This document describes how to use GFxIME to start typing text in Asian languages. GFxIME provides a highly customizable interface for using IME (Input Method Editor) which are programs that allow users to type in East Asian languages using a standard keyboard. These languages can have large character sets that cannot be easily mapped to keyboard keys. To address this, IME programs assist text entry by displaying suggestions and modifying the input string as it is being typed. This document will describe how to install a few IME’s and use them in Scaleform Player. After reading this document, you should be able to type “nihao” using Chinese Simplified Quan Pin IME.
