Restriction:
This feature is available in Vault Collaboration and Vault Professional.
Users with an administrative account can customize the look and feel of the web client.
- Log in using the administrative user name and password.
- Click Configure.
- Select the attribute to change and then click Change.
- On the change page or dialog box that appears for the selected attribute, modify the attribute and then click OK.
Configure the Web Client Screen
On the Configure page, you can specify what is displayed on the screen. To return a setting to the default value, use this same page and select Default next to the attribute you want to change.
- Header
- Background color
- Text color
Configure the Page Header
- On the configuration page under Screen Attributes, to the right of Header, click Change.

Note: To use the default picture provided by the system, click Default.
On the Header To Display page, in the Browse to the image you wish to upload as the logo box, enter the path and file name or click Browse to choose an image file.
- Click OK to return to the configuration page.
Specify Screen Background Color
- On the configuration page under Screen Attributes, to the right of Background color, click Change.
- Select the color you want in the color picker and then click OK to return to the configuration page.
Specify Text Color
- On the configuration page under Screen Attributes, to the right of Text color click Change.
- Select the color you want in the color picker and then click OK to return to the configuration page.
Note: The revised settings take effect when you click OK.
Configure Item and File Display Settings
You can modify how Items and Files are displayed on the page.
Note: The Items feature is available only in the Autodesk Vault Professional edition.
- On the Configure page under Item and File Display Settings, click Change.
- Under Items, select Show Items to grant users the access to items.
- Under Show Items, specify which items to display:
- Show only released items
- Show only effective revisions for released items
Note: If you do not select an option, the option will appear as a filter in the items area so that other users can filter the items to display.
- Under Files, select Show Files to show all files.
- Under Show Files, select Show only released revisions to show only released versions of files.
Note: Since the Uses and Where Used tabs show entire assemblies, any files that are non-released display as non-linked text.
- Click OK to return to the Configure page.
Configure the Files List
Modify file list attributes to suit your work environment.
- On the configuration page under List Attributes for Files, click Change.
- You can select which file attributes to display. In the Available attributes list, select the attribute you want to display and then click Add to move it to the list on the right side. In the Show these attributes in this order list, select the attribute you want removed and then click Remove to move it to the Available attributes list.

Note: Press CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple attributes.
You can change the order of the displayed attributes. In the Show these attributes in this order list select one attribute and then click Move Up or Move Down to adjust its display order. Repeat this step as needed to reorder other attributes.
- Click OK to return to the configuration page.
Configure the Items List
Modify items list attributes to suit your work environment.
Note: The Items feature is available only in the Autodesk Vault Professional edition.
- On the configuration page under List Attributes for Items, click Change.
- You can select which item attributes to display. In the Available attributes list, select the attribute you want to display and then click Add to move it to the list on the right side. In the Show these attributes in this order list, select the attribute you do not want to display and then click Remove to move it to the Available attributes list.

Note: Press CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple attributes.
You can change the order of the displayed attributes. In the Show these attributes in this order list, select one attribute and then click Move Up or Move Down to adjust its display order. Repeat this step to reorder other attributes if needed.
- Click OK to return to the configuration page.
