Recommended installation workflow for Autodesk software products

Issue:

Recommended Autodesk software and software updates installation workflow after downloading the software from Autodesk Accounts (How to Download Autodesk Software | Individual Installation).

Solution:

Follow the high-level steps below prior to installing Autodesk software:

  1. Sign in as administrator on your system.
  2. Be sure that no Windows updates or any other software updates are in progress. If they are, let them finish and restart the computer.
  3. Empty the Temp folder (see How to delete temporary files in Windows).
  4. Verify that your system meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements for the Autodesk software.
  5. Temporarily disable your antivirus software. Enable again after installation.
  6. Install the Autodesk software from the complete product installer or from your deployment image.
