About the Homepage and File Manager
On the homepage, also known as the file manager, you can upload, delete, rename, move, or download files and create new folders and drawings.
Cloud storage providers
You can connect to Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Drive, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive so that your cloud storage files are accessible from the AutoCAD web app.
To connect to a cloud storage provider, click Add storage provider on the left panel of the file manager and sign in using your account info for the cloud storage provder.
Files and Shared with me
Each storage source is divided into two groupings: Files, the files for which you are the owner, and Shared with me, files that have been shared with you by someone else.
Shared drawings
Shared drawings are indicated with an icon in the Shared column next to the owner name.
Upload
Upload files by clicking Upload in the file manager. The files are uploaded to the currently open folder location.
New Folder
Creates a new folder.
New Drawing
Create a new drawing from one of two pre-established templates: Metric or Imperial, or your own drawing template.
Rename a file or folder
To rename a file or folder, right-click the file or folder and select Rename, then type a new name. Alternatively, click the drop-down menu located to the right of the file information and select Rename.
Delete a file or folder
To delete a file or folder, or remove a file or folder that has been shared with you, right-click the file and select Delete (or Remove, for files that have been shared with you). Alternatively, click the drop-down menu located to the right of the file information and select Delete (or Remove).
Delete multiple files or folders
Once a single file or folder is selected, you can add multiple items to the selection set by clicking the check box that is to the left of the file icon, or by using the Ctrl/command and Shift keys to add or remove files from the selection set. Once multiple files or folders are selected, delete those items by right-clicking the selection set and choosing Delete.
Move a file
Move a file to a different folder location by right-clicking the file and choosing Move, then specifying a new folder location in the Move dialog. Alternatively, click the drop-down menu located to the right of the file information and select Move.
