To Work With Folders in Project Manager

Create and manage folders to organize drawings within a project.

To launch Project Manager: Click Project tabProject Tools panelManager. Find

Create a Folder

  1. Right-click on the project name in Project Manager and click Add Subfolder.
  2. Type the subfolder name.
  3. Select the drawings you want to move into the subfolder. Use the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple drawing names.
  4. Drag the mouse over the subfolder and let go to move the drawings into the subfolder.
Note: To add a subfolder under another subfolder, right-click on the subfolder and select Add subfolder.

Rename a Folder

  1. Right-click on a folder and select Rename.
  2. Type the subfolder name.

Change the Folder Order

  1. Select the folder you want to move.
  2. Drag the mouse to the location and let go to move the subfolder.

If you want to move the folder to a specific place in a folder, expand the folder. Otherwise, folders dropped on the folder name are added at the end of that folder.

Remove a Folder

  1. Right-click on a folder and select Remove.
  2. Click Yes to confirm.

When you remove a folder, all subfolders and drawings within that folder are also removed from the project.

Revert to a Flat Drawing List

  1. Right-click on the project name and select Flatten Structure.
  2. Click Yes to confirm.

Reverting to a flat drawing list is a one way operation and cannot be undone.
