Problems Reported Through the Customer Error Reporting Utility

As a result of the detailed information that we received from customers who used the Customer Error Reporting Utility, we were able to identify and fix several defects including the following:

Blocks
Occasional crashes when switching to the Start tab if the block detection is in progress.
External Reference
Occasional crashes when saving changes made after editing an external reference in-place.
Graphic
Occasional crashes when creating some TrueType texts or orbiting with graphics cards that lacked DirectX 12 support but had the GS_DEVICE system variable set to DX12.
Occasional crashes when switching the Accelerated font display option in one drawing and performing an UNDO for the multiline text editing in another drawing.
Hatch
Occasional crashes when adding a hatch into some drawings with a certain hatch pattern on the tool palettes.
Occasional crashes when creating a hatch and changing the angle properties on the ribbon.
Plot
Occasional crashes when the plotting of a drawing is completed on Windows operation system with an APAC region and its user name includes double-byte APAC characters.
General
Occasional crashes at startup if Google Drive is installed and actively signed-in.
Occasional crashes when exiting AutoCAD after opening some drawings with custom objects.
Occasional crashes when running an action macro which includes a behavior to update the object values from the Properties palette.
Occasional crashes when trying to do some TEXT or MTEXT editing.
Occasional crashes when launching AutoCAD Map 3D for the first time after patching AutoCAD 2025.0.1.
Occasional crashes when opening some special drawings then recovering or directly recovering them.
Occasional crashes when opening and closing certain drawings multiple times if the GPUTEXT2D system variable is set to 0.
Occasional crashes when clicking Insert button on the Insert tab of the ribbon in some complex drawings.


General Update Content

The following defects have been fixed:

Graphic
Objects are now displayed well when the visual style is switched from 2D Wireframe to Shaded on the Properties palette.
The color of objects in Model space now remains consistent in Wireframe (Fast) visual style when exiting Edit In Place mode.
Proxy objects in Model space now displays in Wireframe (Fast) visual style.
Holding the Ctrl key to select an attribute now properly displays the selection effect.
The background mask for multiline text now displays in Wireframe (Fast) visual style.
Hatch
Hatches are now successfully added into some closed boundaries of a block.
When the hatch is created with the "Path" option and finished with the "Closed" option, the hatch area value is now accurately reflected on the Properties palette.
When adding a hatch for some AEC objects, the hatch draw order now corresponds with AutoCAD 2024.
The boundary creation results from Boundary of Hatch on Ribbon are same with the results created by "-BOUNDARY" command.
After editing, some custom hatch patterns now display correctly.
The existing hatches on 3D objects now align correctly when using the HATCHSETORIGIN command.
MText
The size of text embedded in some blocks is now displayed correctly, consistent with legacy product.
AutoCAD now correctly applies a font style when its installed name is non-English.
AutoCAD 2025 now correctly displays, recognizes, and selects some specific fonts.
With advanced mode of 2D display settings, some specific fonts (for example, RomanS.TTF) with Korean text are now visible.
The order of Hebrew text and numbers now appears correctly in AutoCAD.
Performance
Improved performance during copy and paste operations (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) between two drawings opened with AutoCAD Mechanical.
Improved performance when selecting and displaying the block grips in some drawings.
Improved performance when changing some dynamic block properties on Properties palette.
Plot
Some drawings are now published successfully to PDF files.
If the AUTOMATICPUB system variable is on, the published results are now opened in Viewer after publishing.
General
Right-clicking any layer on the Layer Properties Manager now displays the shortcut menu without an error.
Saving a drawing that already has a Trace no longer displays an incorrect "Trace deleted" activity.
The "Zoom Extend" now adjusts the display to an appropriate scale in some drawings.
The color used to compare drawings is now correctly displayed in the non-English versions of AutoCAD.
The ribbon and RIBBON command now work as expected when the Windows system format is set to Thai.
The MOVEBAK command now works as expected.
SID files with non-English names are now successfully loaded and opened when attached as external references in the drawing.
