Blend Curve Tool Updates (2025.1)
You can now choose between creating longer and relaxed curves or shorter and tighter blend curves.
Select the Relax tool to create curves that are longer and looser. Use this option if you want to create relaxed shapes, such as loops, with your blend curves. This is the default setting. Selecting Relax applies the shaping method from Alias 2023.1 and earlier versions.
The Tight tool creates a shorter, tighter curve. This option works best when there are sharp changes in direction. You can use this to improve situations where kinks appear at inflection points along the curve. Selecting Tight applies the shaping method from Alias 2024.1 and later versions.
Relax and Tight have also been added as options in the Blend Curve Options window, so you can choose either option before creating the curve.
