NX to Alias Grouping Workflow Improvements

A new Convert Groups to Alias Groups import option lets you preserve the NX group structure when the file is imported into Alias. In previous versions, NX groups were converted to a flat structure. This means that when you roundtrip files between Alias and NX, Alias layer names can be preserved using Convert Category Name to Layer and NX group structure using Covert Groups to Alias Groups.

FBX Export Updates

A new Geometry Type option now lets you choose to only export the mesh or NURBS data to a file or export both in the same file. In the previous three versions of Alias, the mesh and NURBS data are exported in the same file.

Newly Supported File Formats

Alias 2025.1 Update provides newly supported import and export file format versions, which include:

• CATIA V5 V5-6R2024 for import and export
• NX 2406 Series for import and NX 2212 Series for export.
• Granite 17 for import and export.
• JT 9.0 for export.

DWG Export Improvements

You can now choose which version of the .dwg file format to use when exporting files. The DWG Options includes a new File Formats drop-down list, which provides access to the Latest, V2018, V2013, V2010, and V2007 versions.

Alias Concept now includes the ability to export and import files using the EDF file format.
