FEA 2D Isolines (Isoareas) Dialog Box

Displays the results graphically, as isolines or isoareas.

Results

Sets the type of results to be displayed.

Note: The Von-Mises stress is the stress comparison based on the shape-change-energy hypothesis. The stress in the Z direction option is available only if Elastic Deformation in the Z direction in the FEA 2D Calculation dialog box is turned off.

Graphic Representation

Choose between the isolines (left button) and the isoareas (right button) representation.

Set interval automatically

Select the check box to have the intervals between the isolines or isoareas set.

After you have selected the stress calculations to be performed, FEA performs the calculations and displays the isolines or isoareas. FEA uses VGA (12) or SVGA (24) colors. The color values are based on the settings in the Configuration dialog box.

If stress distribution or deformations are displayed with the aid of isolines, these lines can be described more detailed in a legend or stress table. Select the stress line of interest to have the program convert the stress areas (with respect to the initial color) to a relative stress indicator and to present stress areas in the table once the insertion point has been defined.

Press Enter to return to the FEA 2D Calculations dialog box.
