Use these procedures when you want to visually compare drawings or versions of a drawing.
Visual Comparison Between Versions of a Drawing
- On the Project Navigator, select a drawing.
- Under the Check-in History pane, do any of the following:
- Right-click on any previous version to compare with the current version.
- Press Ctrl and select two versions to see the differences between them.
- Select Visual Compare.
A new drawing opens and displays the differences between the versions.
Tip: Press Enter twice on the command line to view the last visual comparison results without reselecting the drawing versions in the Project Navigator.
Visual Comparison Between Drawings
- Open a drawing.
- At the Command prompt, enter vcompare.
- On the Select Drawing File for Visual Compare dialog box, navigate to a drawing file you want to compare with the current drawing.
Graphic differences between the two drawings are displayed in the current drawing.
- Press Enter to exit the visual comparison result and return to your current drawing.
