FAQ: BIM 360 Glue End of Life

Q. What is happening?

On July 31, 2025, Autodesk publicly announced the End of Life (EOL) timeline for BIM 360 Glue. The target date for this discontinuation is July 31st, 2026.

Q. Why is Autodesk making this change?

As part of Autodesk's ongoing efforts to align products within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), we have continued to invest in bringing key functionalities of BIM 360 Glue into Autodesk Construction Cloud. As a result, Autodesk has made the decision to discontinue BIM 360 Glue by July 31st, 2026.

Q. When does this change take effect? Will I still have access to BIM 360 Glue?

Existing customers of BIM 360 Glue will continue to have access until July 31st, 2026. After this date, you will no longer be able to access or use either product.

Q. Will there be a replacement for the BIM 360 Glue functionality?

Model Coordination in ACC enables key model-based workflows including model aggregation, clash detection, granular review and issue creation, as well as robust integrations with Revit and Navisworks to enable these workflows across products. Additionally, Model Coordination can support the use of a broad range of file types typically used in BIM 360 Glue (NWC, IFC, DWG, etc.). Model viewing in the field is possible via the ACC mobile application.

Q. How will I access replacement functionality?

BIM 360 Glue customers are encouraged to transition data and projects into Model Coordination in ACC, which all BIM 360 Glue customers already have access to as a part of their existing subscriptions to Autodesk BIM Collaborate, Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, Navisworks Manage, or the Model Management bundle.

Q. Will I be able to maintain Glue access when I renew my subscription?

No. Renewals of Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, Navisworks Manage, or the Model Management bundle after July 31, 2026 will no longer contain BIM 360 Glue. After July 31, 2026, existing customers will no longer be able to access the solution.

Q. Will I still be able to access Navisworks and Autodesk Point Layout entitlements that were included with BIM 360 Glue?

For customers that access Navisworks or Autodesk Point Layout through their BIM 360 Glue entitlements, their access will end on July 31, 2026. Customers can continue to access Navisworks and Autodesk Point Layout via AEC Collection or standalone subscriptions to Navisworks or Autodesk Point Layout.

Q. How do I migrate my BIM 360 Glue projects?

Those wishing to transition data from BIM 360 Glue will have the ability to transition data via our in-product Data Transition Tool in a coming release. This will allow you to move model data from BIM 360 Glue to a corresponding project in Files in Autodesk Docs. At this point, this model data can either be considered archived, or it can be used to create a Coordination Space in Model Coordination to use the model-based workflows in ACC.

Q. What will happen to my existing data?

Existing data will not be accessible after July 31st, 2026. BIM 360 Glue users are encouraged to export or migrate any data that needs to be maintained.

Q. Will I lose access to past data or project history?

Past data and project history can be exported from BIM 360 and imported to ACC. Past data and project history can be migrated from BIM 360 Glue to Files within Autodesk Docs.

Q. Will my workflows or integrations be affected?

Yes, any workflows or integrations reliant on access to BIM 360 Glue or its APIs will be impacted, including integrations between BIM 360 Glue and BIM 360 Field. Model Coordination offers enhanced capabilities within ACC, ensuring your teams can continue managing model-based workflows seamlessly.

Q. Who can I contact for help or support during the transition?

During the transition period, you can reach out to Autodesk Support for assistance. Please reach out to your account contact or reach out to Autodesk Support to get help with your specific product queries, issues, and troubleshooting needs.
