Creo Translator Reference

IMPORT supports the following versions of PTC Creo® files:

• *.prt* (part) - up to version 6.0
• *.asm* (assembly) - up to version 6.0
• *.g (Granite) - up to version 12.0
• *.neu* (Neutral)

The following data types are translated:

• Surfaces
• Solids
• Multi-solid bodies
• Wireframe geometry (2D & 3D)

Importing *.prt*, *.g, *.neu* files produces blocks that have the same name as the source file. If the file name contains invalid characters, in the corresponding block they are replaced by the underscore (_) character. Importing *.asm* files produces nested blocks that have the same name as the source file. Each part is mapped to a block and “assembly” blocks are generated by nesting "part" blocks.
