Use this procedure to obtain volume information for a selected material definition. The results of the query include the total volume for all objects with a selected material definition. For example, if you have two brick walls within your selection set, and each has a volume of 8.85 m3, the overall volume of brick objects is listed as 17.7 m3. You can use that information for preliminary cost estimates.
- On the command line, enter MATERIALQUERY.
- Select the objects you want to include in the query, and press Enter.
- Select the material definition you want to query.
For example, if you want to query for bricks, select Brick from the list.
- Click OK.
All objects assigned the selected material definition are highlighted in the drawing.
- Press F2.
The volume for the selected material definition is displayed in the AutoCAD
text window.
