About Schedule and Workplan

The Schedule tool enables importing schedules from 3rd party tools in formats like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Asta Powerproject. Once imported, schedules can be easily viewed, shared, and collaborated on. The Gantt chart view provides a visual representation of the schedule. Each schedule activity can be linked to relevant objects across the platform. Version control allows you to view and compare different schedule versions. Schedule managers can be assigned to import, delete, and manage access to schedules. Granular permission levels control the actions project members can perform. Sensitive information can be protected by controlling which schedule attributes are visible to project members based on their permissions.

The Workplan functionality provides an interface for managers to access critical project information while on-site. From the home screen you can quickly access project schedules and plans. The Workplan functionality also provides an interface to monitor progress, assess the current situation, and review scope, budget, and timeline specifics. Plans give foremen and crews visibility into plan updates that may impact their work. Upcoming job sequences can be viewed through each plan's list of tasks. Detailed task attributes equip supervisors with the information needed to optimize decisions. On mobile, task details like status and percent complete can be updated directly in the app.

The Schedule and Workplan functionalities work together to create a robust construction planning system. Detailed schedules can be imported and managed using the Schedule tool, which offers granular access control. The schedule information seamlessly integrates with the Workplan functionality in the Autodesk Construction Cloud app, providing the field with a real-time view of project progress and upcoming work. Comprehensive task details provide everyone with the necessary information to make informed decisions.

This integrated system allows you to pull activities from the high-level schedule and detail them in plans, enabling a more granular view of the project. Additionally, you can easily identify when plans have diverged from the high-level schedule activities, creating better alignment and coordination.

Note: If an account administrator has turned off a tool it is hidden from the tool navigation on the left. See Products and Tools for more information.
