Use the Profile tab to specify parameters for creating a profile for the turnout's diverted alignment and whether to merge with an existing profile.
- Create Profile for Diverted Alignments
- Specifies that a profile will be created for the turnout's diverted alignment. If the main alignment does not have a profile, this option is grayed out. If you choose to not create a profile using this option, you can create a profile later using the
Create Diverted Profile command.
There is one auto-created diverted profile for one diverted alignment.
- Main Profile
- Specifies the profile for the main rail alignment. Select a profile from the drop-down list or click
to select a profile in the drawing.
- Diverted Profile Style
- Specifies the style of the diverted profile. Click the drop-down list
to access style options. Click
to open the Style Detail dialog box.
Diverted Profile
- Merge With
- Specifies a profile with which to merge the diverted profile. For more information about working with a merged profile, see
To Manually Connect a Rail Turnout to Its Merged Alignment or Profile.
Note: If you select a profile with which to merge the diverted profile, the Profile Name field below is grayed out.
- Profile Name
- Specifies the name of the diverted profile. Click
to open the Name Template dialog box where you can specify the default name format.
Note: If you select the Merge With option above and select a profile to merge with, this option is grayed out.
