Update IAM from LAYOUTDATA

The Update IAM from LAYOUTDATA command enables you to manually update the IAM file with any existing changes from the LAYOUTDATA file.

Access

The command is available in Inventor. You can access it from the Cross-Product Workflows panel of the Factory tab.

To update the IAM file from the LAYOUTDATA file:

1. Open the IAM file in Inventor.

2. On the Factory tab, click Cross-Product Workflows > Update IAM from LAYOUTDATA .

   Any changes you have made to the LAYOUTDATA file in another application, such as AutoCAD, will be updated in the IAM file.
