DIMM setup
The memory should be pre-installed in the workstation. Refer to this section for memory upgrades or configuration changes.
Total RAM |
Number of DIMMs |
DIMM position |
128 GB (Minimum) |
8 x 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz ECC RDIMMs |
All DIMM slots |
256 GB (Recommended) |
8 x 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz ECC RDIMMs |
All DIMM slots |
Note: Utilizing all 8 DIMM slots yields maximum memory bandwidth performance as the P620 takes full advantage of the 8 memory channels offered by the AMD Threadripper Pro CPU. This in turn allows higher speeds and better throughput.
Reassemble the workstation
- Clip the PCI retainer bracket back in place.
- Re-attach the workstation’s side access panel.
Connect peripherals
- Connect the keyboard and mouse to USB ports.
- Connect the Display Port cable provided with the monitor from the DP port of the graphic card port to the monitor’s DP port. If using an extender cable, see the system requirements for setup instructions.
- Connect a power cable to the monitor and connect a power cable to the workstation.
