User Interface Preferences
Colours
Background field
Sets the background brightness value of the interface.
Brightness field
Sets the brightness of interface elements such as buttons and fields.
Contrast field
Sets the contrast of interface elements such as buttons and fields.
Colour Sampler
Show Display Colour Space Info
Enable to add a second set of RGB values in the pixel sampler showing the values after the viewport colour management has been applied. This also adds a read-out of the x/y pixel coordinates.
On-Screen Widgets
On-screen Keyboard
Enable to have the on-screen keyboard appear when you enter text in a field.
Calculator Placement option
Select where the calculator appears when you click in a numeric field.
Numeric Fields Display
Update During Playback
Enable to update numeric fields during playback.
Auto Key Button Look
Auto Key Look option
Select whether to apply a Classic (grey) or Coloured (yellow) look to the Auto Key button.
Confirm Dialog
Reset Visibility
Reset the visibility of previously hidden confirmation dialog boxes.
Display
Drag Transparency field
Sets the transparency level of clips while dragging.
Bold Font
Enable bold fonts on buttons.
Date / Time Display
Date Format option
Select the date format used across the application.
Always Use Long Format
Enable to always use the longer date and time format in the List views.
Display Seconds
Enable to display time with the seconds. Disable to display only the hours and minutes.
Compact Tokens Result
Enable to display only the numbers from the <date> and <time> tokens.
Time Display Mode
Time Display Mode option
Select to display frames or timecodes in frame marking controls, the timebar, segments, list views, and the fields below the timeline.
Force TC in Conform List
Enable to force the Conform Table to display Timecode information, even if Time Display Mode is set to Frame.
Thumbnails
Clip Name Only
Enable to only display the name of clips on thumbnails.
Secondary Information option
Select the secondary clip information displayed on thumbnails.
If the Timeline Dispay Mode is set to Frame the options are:
- No Secondary Information
- Record Timecode
- Source Timecode
If the Timeline Dispay Mode is set to Timecode the options are:
- No Secondary Information
- Frame
- Source Timecode
Resolution Information option
Select the clip resolution information displayed on thumbnails.
Options are:
- No Resolution Information
- Resolution
- Frame rate
- Resolution & Frame rate
Display Colour Space
Enable to display the tagged colour space on thumbnails.
Display Keycode
Enable to display keycode information on thumbnails.
Render Effects
Enable to display rendered frames in thumbnails of clips with applied but unrendered effects. Disable to display "Unrendered" in the thumbnails of such clips.
Apply Colour Management
Enable to apply the highest priority OCIO view, specified in the Views editor, to each thumbnail based on its tagged colour space and the selected Graphics Monitor display.
Timecode
Display Dual Timecodes
Enable to display both 29.97 and 23.97 fps timecode on the timeline and in the Player. This allows users to monitor which transitions will fall on jitter frames when 2:3 insertion is applied.
Dual TC: 23.97->29.97 fps NDF/DF option
Select whether to view the 29.97 fps timecode in the Dual Timecode display as either drop frame or non-drop frame.
Drop Frame Reference Timecode field
Sets the point at which the 29.97 fps material is in sync with the 23.97 fps material.
Drop Frame Bump Mode option
Select a translation mode for invalid calculator entries.
Freeform View
Snap to Grid
Enable to snap thumbnails to a grid. The grid becomes visible when this button is enabled.
Grid Size field
Sets a value in pixels for the size of the boxes that make the grid.
Thumbnail Height field
Enter a default value in pixels for the height of thumbnails displayed in the Freeform view. All new thumbnails are generated at this height. Existing ones are unchanged.
Reels
Friction field
Sets how much the reels scroll after you release your mouse/pen.
Desktop Reels
Reels Orientation option
Select a horizontal or vertical orientation for the Desktop Reels.
Reverse
Enable to reverse the order in which clips appear on the Desktop Reels.
Clip Spacing field
Enter a value to control the padding, in pixels, between clips on the Desktop Reels.
Gestural Workflow
Swipe Bars
Click to enable swipe bars that you can use to switch views in different areas of the application.
Swipe Sensitivity field
Use to set the sensitivity of the swipe gesture in the application, as a percentage value.
Layout Selection Overlay
Click to enable the menu overlay in the Timeline view. You can use the menu overlay to change what is displayed in the Timeline view.
