Release Notes in Version 2024.4

This topic lists any bugs that have been fixed between versions 2024.3 and 2024.4 of InfoWorks ICM.

The fixes listed below are those that are viewed as likely to impact on users in an unexpected way, mainly changed simulation results, or differences in behaviour that might not be obvious.

InfoWorks ICM Standard

Trying to open a database from a second instance of ICM Standard (which is not supported) was causing a crash in some circumstances. It now fails with an explanation.

Dry initial conditions

The summary results "Flow direction at first occurrence of minimum velocity" and "Flow direction at first occurrence of maximum velocity" are now reported correctly in places that are dry at the start of a simulation, when using a database of version 2024.4 or later.

Roughness zones and buildings

If a roughness zone and a building have the same ID, then using the properties tool on an element within the building suggested that the roughness specified in the roughness zone would be used, not the building's roughness. The behaviour of the property tool has been corrected and it now shows the correct roughness.

Simulations running in the cloud

If a user logs out of Windows or shuts down their PC whilst they have a simulation running in a cloud database, that simulation could be "lost" even though it continues to run in the cloud. This has been addressed.

Crash in the GeoPlan

A potential crash in the GeoPlan has been addressed.

Continuous curb equation in the help

An error in continuous curb equation that was corrected in the software in 2024.0 but the help was not corrected. This has now been done.

Connect 2D nodes in river reaches

Simulations no longer crash if a Connect 2D node is in river reach.

Initial states with a different mesh

With large 2D models, using a simulation to provide an initial state with a different 2D mesh no longer causes the simulation to crash.

Storage volume summary table

The storage volume summary table in the RPT file generated by simulations on SWMM networks no longer has strange symbols for the units.

Time-varying rainfall onto mesh in SWMM networks

When a SWMM network contains no catchments, rainfall directly onto the mesh was failing to vary in time. This has been fixed.

ArcObjects Map Control

When running the 32-bit Innovyze-branded version of InfoWorks, selecting ArcObjects as the map control was causing the software to crash. This has been fixed.

TSDB graphs of historic data

Grid views of TSDB data were showing the correct data, but graph views were showing only the latest version. The graph view now shows the historic version correctly.

Update to latest button

The red border around the Update to latest button on the Run dialog when the network version selected is not the latest has been reinstated.

Mesh data has wrong version number

If a mesh is generated in a database of an older version than the version of the software being used to generate the mesh, then the network becomes unusable in the older version of the software. A dialog with the message "Mesh data has wrong version number" appears. This has been corrected. A mesh generated in version 2024.4 or later can be used by earlier versions of the software, although it may differ from the mesh that would have been generated in the earlier software version.
