Open/Create dialog

This dialog is used to select which type of database you want to open, create, update, or get the identifier for.

It is displayed when you select:

  • Open/Create database or Open another database from the File | Open menu.
  • Update database from the File | Database update menu.

The following options available:

  • Cloud - Enabled for Autodesk licenses only. Stores the database in the cloud. This option is available for single or multiple users.
  • Workgroup - Stores the database on-premise, either on your local computer or a server. Access the Workgroup Server is required for a workgroup database. This option is available for single or multiple users.
  • Standalone - Stores the database on-premise on your local computer. This option is available for only for a single user.

When you select an option, the Open Database dialog is displayed.

Note: If you have an Autodesk license but the Cloud option is disabled, then it may be because your hub has not been set up. Refer to Create Hub and Activate Subscription for more information.
