Release Notes in version 2024.2

This document lists bugs which have been fixed in InfoWorks WS Pro version 2024.2.

See Known Issues for a list of limitations that we are aware of.

The fixes listed here are those that are viewed as likely to impact on users in an unexpected way, mainly changed simulation results, or differences in behaviour that might not be obvious.

Themes - drag and drop

When themes were dragged onto the map, they were adding to existing themes instead of replacing them. This is fixed.

The correct behaviour for Themes is: drag onto then map replaces the existing theme; <ctrl>-drag will add to the existing theme.

HiDPI scaling

HiDPI scaling can result in very small text or toolbar icons.

Installed options have been changed. This issue is fixed.

Flushing scheduler

When adding hydrants to the flushing schedule using the pick tool or by dropping on a fire-flow object with the units set to MGD, metric units were used instead of the units chosen by the user. This is fixed.

SQL and control records

When setting a field value in a control record using SQL, the value would not be set if the control record did not already exist.

This is fixed, a new record is now inserted when required.

Spatial bookmarks

Buttons in the spatial bookmarks dialog were always active.

This is fixed. Buttons are greyed out if their functionality is not applicable to the list items.

Open Data Import Centre

If the pipe geometry had changed during an update, new dummy nodes were created and the old dummy node was left disconnected.

This is fixed: there is an option to skip geometry update.

Open Data Import Centre

The Open Data Import Centre would create new nodes in "update only" mode when updating links. This is fixed.

Open Data Import Centre

If a duplicate object is found, the relevant object ID was not shown. This is fixed.

Open Data Export Centre

When exporting to SQL Server using the Open Data Export Centre, the length of the flag fields was set to 2 although it should have been 4. This is fixed.

GMR Configuration dialog

The GMR configuration dialog was very slow when working with large networks. This is fixed.

Flushing scheduler

The flushing scheduler was showing the wrong network commit for merge networks. This is fixed.

Flushing schedule dialog, possible crash

If a schedule is opened and it already has actions, then pressing the "Isolated" button will cause a crash unless the network is also open. This is fixed.

Calibration runs - initial scaling

The initial scaling factor for calibration runs had a poor default. This is fixed: the initial scaling factor is now 0.5 and cannot be set to zero.

Graphs and workspaces

Workspaces containing graphs would not restore graph settings, e.g. line colour, font, axis min/max. This is fixed.

Lock networks (check-in/check-out)

The application would crash if a lock network and control were dropped onto a merge network. This is fixed.

Address lookup

The address lookup did not always work properly, and might crash. This is fixed.

Result manager grid

The result manager grid would not allows access to log files for some runs. (Access to log files is still available from other menu locations.) This is fixed.

Disable pop-up information in Explorer Window

You now have the option to disable the pop-up information box in the explorer window that appears as you hover on the items in the model tree. You just have to clear the checkbox for Show popup information in explorer window in the Options dialog - General page. This will help alleviate the lag that you may experience especially when you are accessing the application through a virtual machine.

Networks with many commits in cloud databases

When trying to open a network with many commits (more than 3000) in a cloud database, an error message "Error getting commit: HTTP Status 502: {"message": "Internal server error"}" was being generated. This has been fixed.

Vulnerabilities

The following vulnerabilities have been addressed within third party components:

CVE-2020-27304, CVE-2017-17405, CVE-2017-1969, CVE-2021-3575

See the Autodesk Trust Center for details about vulnerabilities in InfoWorks software.
