Associating items with GeoExplorer zones

Items can be associated with a GeoExplorer zone via the GeoExplorer window or the GeoExplorer Zone grid view.

Once an item is associated with a zone it can subsequently be opened from the GeoExplorer window by selecting the zone using the (Open associated item) tool from the GeoExplorer toolbar.

Associating an item with the GeoExplorer window

1. Click a GeoExplorer zone using the (Link GeoExplorer zone) tool from the GeoExplorer toolbar.

   If multiple zones are found, a multiple selection dialog will show a list of zones: in this case, select the zone to be associated and click OK.

   The Associate Zone dialog is displayed, showing any existing association data.

2. Use drag and drop or the button to add a model group, network or workspace in the appropriate selection box.

   You can use the button to remove a selection.

   Only one item at a time may be selected for association.

3. To associate the selected item with the zone, click OK.

Associating an item with the GeoExplorer Zone grid view

1. In the grid view, right-click in a cell of the zone to be updated and select Update associated item.

   The Associate Zone dialog is displayed, showing any existing association data.

2. Use drag and drop or the button to add a model group, network or workspace in the appropriate selection box.

   You can use the button to remove a selection.

   Only one item at a time may be selected for association.

3. To associate the selected item with the zone, click OK.
