While the Time Editor lets you organize and arrange your animation in a larger sense, there are times when you need to tweak your animation for precision in more detail. In these cases, use the Graph Editor, to view your animation curves and keys.
To edit animation curves from a clip:
- Select a clip in the Time Editor and click the
Graph Editor icon
in the Time Editor toolbar to open the clip's animation curves in the Graph Editor to perform detailed curve editing.
- Right-click a clip's Layer and choose Show All Curves in the Graph Editor from the Time Editor Clip contextual menu. See Add Animation Layers to the Time Editor for information on editing curves.
- Select a clip and click the
Edit Weight Curve in Graph Editor icon
in the Time Editor toolbar to open the clip's animation and Weight curve in the Graph Editor to edit an animation clip's Weight curve. See Key Time Editor clip weights.
Note: Both the animation clip and the weight curve are shown, buty the Weight Curve is selected automatically in the Outliner, so it is displayed in isolation. - To create a custom crossfade between clips, right-click on an Animation clip's crossfade area and select Time Editor Clip contextual menu and then click Edit Custom Curve.
