MEP Content Editor Release Notes

For information about troubleshooting installation issues, see Installation Issues.

The main elements of fabrication data that are editable include the following:

  • Permissions enable you to collaborate with other stakeholders.

  • Services typically reflect the purpose of the fluid. A service references a service template, so the appropriate parts are used, and an insulation specification, so the insulation may be automatically applied.

  • Service templates define what parts are used together, grouped into palettes.

  • Parts include a library of pipe and fittings. This initial release has very limited ability to make modifications.

  • Materials define what pipe and insulation are made of, such as brass or aluminum.

  • Material specifications define nominal sizes, purchased length, and inside/outside diameter.

  • Insulation specifications define the thickness of insulation that is applied to each pipe size.

  • Part specifications define the type of material and connectors automatically applied to an element during creation.

Note: For pipework, this is less relevant as these properties are generally defined directly on the pipe and fittings.
  • Connectors define characteristics for intelligent connectivity for matching and coupling.
