Manage Fabrication Configurations

Use MEP Content Editor to connect MEP fabrication configurations from the cloud into Revit. Perform the following operations with MEP Content Editor:

  • Upload a configuration when you want to make changes with MEP Content Editor.

Note: In MEP Content Editor if you have access to multiple configurations, you can switch between them using the drop-down and selecting as needed.

    update configuration thumbnail image

Note: In MEP Content Editor, if you are the admin of the configuration, you can optionally update the thumbnail for the configuration by hovering over the current image and clicking Edit, then uploading a new image.
  • Download a configuration when you want to sync the changes you made to an MEP fabrication configuration in Revit.

  • Delete a configuration when it is no longer needed.

The following badges indicate the status of configurations shown in MEP Content Editor Sync:

  • Available: An admin has shared this configuration with you, and you haven't synced it with Revit.
  • Ready: The configuration is synced and ready to use in Revit.
  • Unsynced: Someone has made a change to a configuration that you have synced. The changes will need to be re-synced with Revit.
  • Disconnected: A configuration that you have synced to has been deleted or your access has been revoked.
Note: To use the Autodesk MEP Content Editor Sync tool, you must have an AEC subscription or a Revit subscription.
