Insulation Specifications

Insulation specifications define insulation sizes for pipes and pipe fittings. This topic describes how to configure insulation specifications so that they can be assigned to services.

To create an insulation specification and assign it to an insulation:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Insulation Specifications.
  2. Click add-24 Add.
  3. Specify the Insulation specification name and assign an abbreviation and a category if needed.
  4. To specify the sizes' insulation breakpoint, click add-24 Add under Tables.
  5. Click on Size Entries.
  6. Define the Max Size with its associated insulation thickness and type.

Note: You can add multiple size rules if necessary.
  1. Click Apply.

A new insulation specification is now created.


Assign the insulation specification to a service

  1. In the navigation pane, click Services.

  2. You can select an existing service and click edit-24 Edit, or click add-24 Add to add a service.

  3. Click the Insulation Specifications drop-down and select the insulation specification you created before.
