Animation Properties dialog

Select a previously saved animation, or generate a new animation from the selected result for inclusion in the report.

To access this dialog, either:

  • Click report wizard icon (Reports tab > Reports panel > Report Wizard), complete the first two pages of the Wizard, on the Report Layout page of the Wizard select the data item that is to animated, if necessary select the Animation option in the Item details section of the dialog, then click Properties next to that option, or,
  • Select an existing report in the Project View pane, click report animation icon (Reports tab > Reports panel > Animation), then specify a name for the animation report item and click OK.
Note: The .gif and .avi animation file formats are supported.
Tip: After you have added an animation to the report using report animation icon Animation, you can access the Animation Properties dialog later, from the Report Wizard, to make changes to the animation.
Note: An animation may be saved to file at any time using save animation icon (Reports tab > Image Capture panel > Animation).

Use existing animationSelect an existing animation from file for inclusion in the report.

Enter the file path and name of the animation, or, click ... and navigate to the required folder.

Generate animationGenerate an animation from the selected result for inclusion in the report.

After choosing to create a new animation, select the size and model rotation properties for the new animation.

Target file
Displays the name of the animation file that will be created (without file extension).

After creating an animation, this name is listed in the Report items list in the Report Wizard. You may also need to rearrange the order of items that appear in the report.

Animation Format
Specify the format of the animation.

Create an animation as a series of GIF images, or AVI movie.

Animation size
Enter the width and height of the animation in pixels.
Rotation angles
Specify the rotation co-ordinates to be used to capture the model for an animation.

Enter the rotation angle for the X, Y, and Z co-ordinates in a space separated list.
