Using Measure Tools

You can add properties to a virtual takeoff by measuring objects in the model and then transposing those properties into a virtual takeoff. You can markup the measurement and add a viewpoint to make navigation back to it easier. See also Measure tools.

Measure an object

1. In the model, find the object or area you want to measure.

2. Click the Review tab > Measure, the select a measure tool and note the measurement.

   Note: You can add a viewpoint to the measurement to navigate back to it

3. In Quantification Workbook, navigate to the takeoff you want to associate with the measurement.

4. In the Takeoff pane, double-click the takeoff formula you want to change (such as Length or Area) and type the new measurement.
