Fixes in Navisworks 2026.1

Navisworks 2026.1 includes the following fixes:

IFC files

  • Transforms carried out in IFC files are now preserved correctly when saved to an NWF format (NW-60583).

  • When exporting linked IFC models from MicroStation to NWC format, custom colors are now supported and the color used in the linked file is respected (NW-61207).

FBX files

  • When exporting FBX files, changing the units during export no longer incorrectly scales the size of the model elements (NW-61058).

  • The FBX exporter now correctly counts the number of nodes during export (NW-61972).

NWD files

  • Fixed an issue where exporting NWD files to DWFx resulted in missing geometry (NW-61472).

  • Exporting NWD files with hidden items excluded now works as expected (NW-61566).

  • Opening a new workspace now works as expected after opening an NWD containing bad fragments (NW-62044).

  • Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when trying to save an NWD file after making edits (NW-61983).

General

  • The Resize Floor option now works correctly when working with Factory Design Utilities layouts in Navisworks (NW-59878).

  • Fixed several issues when using two monitors (with scaling applied on one monitor):

    • Floating windows are no longer lost when switching display configurations (NW-61385).
    • Docking hints are displayed as expected when dragging floating windows (NW-61398, NW-61400, NW-61404 and NW-61405).

  • Docking floating windows together in the scene view now works as expected (NW-61542).

  • Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when loading some DWFx (NW-61550) and IFC files (NW-91956).

  • Fixed an issue causing Navisworks Simulate to close unexpectedly when working with NWF files saved to Autodesk Construction Cloud projects using Desktop Connector (NW-61941).

  • The Quick Access Toolbar now correctly retains items that have been added between sessions (NW-61953).

  • Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when using the Events dialog box (NW-61955).

  • Fixed an issue causing Navisworks to close unexpectedly when editing searches in the Find Items dialog box (NW-61965).

  • When NWC files are exported from MicroStation, the geometry associated with Construction class elements is now displayed correctly (NW-61546).

  • The Clash Detective window now displays in full screen as expected when it is resized after being undocked (NW-61975).

  • Text-based RVM files containing v1.2 primitives now load correctly (NW-61979).

  • Transparency values entered using a keyboard in the Appearance Profiler are now set correctly (NW-61980).

  • The Measure tool now measures geometry in VUE files correctly (NW-61990).

  • Overriding a transform using the right-click option in the scene or selection tree now works as expected for Navisworks 2026 (NW-61992).

  • The Units and Transform dialog box now works as expected for Navisworks 2026 (NW-61993).

  • Fixed an issue where some views loaded from Model Coordination using the Coordination Issues Add-In had incorrect scaling applied (NW-62017).

  • Fixed an issue causing the Progress dialog box to close unexpectedly (NW-62029).
