Enhancements in Navisworks 2026
Navisworks 2026 includes the following enhancements:
User Interface and Usability
The Appearance Profiler has been redesigned and enhanced with new options for improved usability (NW-60149).
The Measure Tools window has been redesigned and now includes a Save Measurement feature (NW-59699).
The Find Items window has been redesigned and now includes a Save option to save search sets directly (NW-59914).
The Status bar now includes a file version indicator (NW-61275).
The Status bar now includes a button that enables you to lock and unlock the pivot point when using zoom and other navigation tools (NW-60465, NW-60957, and NW-11086).
There is a new Show Pinned First on Home Page option on the Options Editor dialog > General node > Environment page. Select this option to show pinned files first on the Recent tab of the Home page (NW-60641).
Tiles on the Home page now include a cloud icon to indicate which files are not stored locally (NW-60155).
On the Units and Transform Dialog box, you can now adjust units and transforms for multiple 3D files or 2D sheets at a time (NW-874).
Color pickers used throughout Navisworks have been improved (NW-60872).
The Collision dialog box settings have been combined with the Edit Viewpoint dialog box (NW-59899 and NW-59900).
Behavior and usability have been improved when docking windows (NW-59990).
You can now define the Front view of the ViewCube by selecting a face in the model geometry (NW-60958).
The appearance of many dialog boxes across Navisworks has been updated and improved (NW-59895).
Clash Detective
Clash Detective now includes the ability to group clashes using clash property data (NW-60002).
Note: This Group Clashes functionality was previously available using the Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-In, but has now been moved to the Clash Detective.A new Delete Empty Groups button on the Results tab allows you to delete all empty clash groups.
It is now possible to specify a default assignee for clash tests. This assignee is automatically added in the Assign Clash dialog box if no other person or trade is assigned (NW-61064 and NW-61077).
When working in Model Coordination projects using the Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-In, the Assign clash to dialog will allow you to select Model Coordination project members as clash assignees.
The Results tab of the Clash Detective window now contains Resolved By and Resolved (date) fields, providing more details when a clash has been resolved (NW-61069).
The Results tab of the Clash Detective window now contains a Clash Count column, which displays the number of clashes contained in each clash group (NW-46497).
Test Type is no longer shown in the Description column of the Results tab. Instead, right-click on a column heading in the results table and select the Test Type option to add it as a column (NW-61068).
The Description column in the Results tab is now editable, and can be used to enter custom text strings (NW-61066).
Clash tests and clash results can now be assigned a priority level. This is displayed in a column in the Tests panel and Results tab, and is also included in generated clash reports (NW-61065 and NW-61067).
The Clash Detective window now contains sort and filter options for quick and easy management of clash tests and results (NW-59444).
Synchronize statuses when creating issues from clashes using the Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-In (ABDI-2741 and 2742).
Viewpoints
- The Saved Viewpoints window now contains a search field, enabling more efficient management of viewpoints (NW-17499, NW-60157).
Properties
You can now easily filter for and create sets of properties, edit which properties are displayed in the Properties panel, and export properties as a CSV (NW-60285, 60287, 60288, 60289, and 60294).
Note: This has replaced the need to create Quick Property definitions.The Properties window now contains a search field, enabling more efficient management of properties (NW-60156).
Sets
- The Sets window now contains a search field, enabling more efficient management of sets (NW-60004).
General
There is a new Output tab > Export Scene panel > Export NWD option, which can be used to export to NWD using more configuration options, such as excluding hidden objects (NW-59749, NW-1635).
The Home tab > Project panel > Scene Statistics dialog now includes the world bounding box size, along side the minimum and maximum values (NW-60751).
System variables such as %temp% and %username% are now supported in the following global options (NW-54915).

- Model > Performance > Temporary File Location
- General > Logging > Log File (hidden)
- General > Logging > Logging Directory (hidden)
There is a new Default Format Version option on the Options Editor dialog box > Model node > NWD page. Use this option to select which version you want to save NWD files as by default (NW-58249).
The Home tab > App Manager has been replaced with the Plugin Manager. The new Plugin Manager provides easy access to enable and disable plugins, and find information about updates and install locations (NW-4520).
The Options Editor dialog > File Readers node > DWG/DXF page now includes a Convert Hidden Objects option. When selected, objects that are hidden in DWG files in AutoCAD are included when exported to or opened in Navisworks (NW-60581).
There is a new Coordination tab on the Navisworks Home page, providing access to the Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-In (NW-61044).
