Start and Exit Navisworks

Once you’ve installed Navisworks Freedom, you can start it from the Windows desktop or from the command line.

By default, Navisworks Freedom starts in the language that best matches the settings on your computer. You can also start Navisworks Freedom in another of the installed languages.

Note: You can add command line switches to specify different startup routines for the program. See Command Line Options.

Start Navisworks Freedom

To open Navisworks Freedom, you can either:

  • Double-click the Navisworks Freedom shortcut icon on your desktop.
  • Use the Start menu to locate and open the desired product.

Run Navisworks Freedom in Another Language

The Navisworks Freedom installation package contains all language versions (multilingual). To install and run Navisworks Freedom in the language of your choice:

  1. Start by downloading Navisworks Freedom or the Navisworks NWC Export Utility.

  2. Select the language that you wish to use at the start of the installation process in the top right corner of the dialog box (screenshot of German language selection).

Note: To change the language in Navisworks Freedom again, uninstall the program and reinstall it in the language of your choice.

Exit Autodesk Navisworks Freedom

  1. Click the application button on the Navisworks Freedom ribbon.

  2. At the bottom of the application menu, click Exit Navisworks Freedom.

    If changes were made to the current project, you are prompted to save the changes. To save the changes to the project, click Yes. To continue exiting and discard the changes, click No. To return to Navisworks Freedom, click Cancel.
