Specifies how differential stiffness is applied to rod, bar, and beam elements. There are four options:

TENSION - Differential stiffness is only added when the element is in tension.
COMPRESSION - Differential stiffness is only added when the element is in compression.
COUPLED - Differential stiffness is added regardless of loading and includes coupled torsional terms.
BOTH - Differential stiffness is added regardless of loading and does not include coupled torsional terms.
